Egyptian Medical Liability Law No. 13 of 2025
This law, which came into force in October 2025, establishes a comprehensive legal framework for medical liability and patient safety in Egypt. Key provisions relevant to your treatment:
- 1.Mandatory Professional Insurance: All licensed medical practitioners and facilities are required to subscribe to the government-established Medical Liability Insurance Fund (Article 2). This fund provides compensation to patients in the event of a proven medical error.
- 2.Joint Liability: Medical facilities are jointly liable with their practitioners for any harm resulting from medical error. Any pre-emptive waiver of liability is void and unenforceable under Egyptian law.
- 3.Supreme Medical Liability Committee: An independent committee established under the Prime Minister's supervision adjudicates allegations of medical error and professional misconduct. Patients have the right to file complaints with this committee.

If you believe you have experienced a medical error, you have the right to file a complaint with the Supreme Medical Liability Committee. Here is the process:

Step 2 — File with the Committee: If direct resolution is not possible, you may file a formal complaint with the Supreme Medical Liability Committee. Complaints can be submitted through the Ministry of Health and Population.
Step 3 — Committee Review: The committee will conduct a technical review of your case, which may include expert medical opinions and documentation review.
Step 4 — Resolution: The committee may facilitate an amicable settlement or issue a binding decision on compensation through the government fund.

2. Local Anesthesia + Oral Sedation — For patients with dental anxiety. Oral sedatives (like Valium or Halcion) are taken 30–60 minutes before the procedure. You remain conscious but deeply relaxed.
3. IV Sedation (Conscious Sedation) — Administered by a licensed anesthesiologist. You're in a dream-like state, relaxed and comfortable, with no memory of the procedure. Ideal for full-arch (All-on-4 / All-on-6) surgeries.
Important: General anesthesia is not typically required for dental implant procedures. All anesthesia is administered or supervised by licensed medical professionals in our JCI-aligned partner clinics.

Who is a good candidate for dental implants?

What medications will I need after surgery?
Your dentist will prescribe a personalized medication plan. Typical protocols include:
Antibiotics: Amoxicillin (or Clindamycin for penicillin-allergic patients) — usually 5–7 days post-op to prevent infection.
Pain relief: Ibuprofen 400mg (every 6–8 hours) and/or Paracetamol 500mg. Avoid aspirin, which can increase bleeding.
Anti-inflammatory: Prescribed for swelling control during the first 3–5 days.
Antiseptic mouthwash: Chlorhexidine 0.12% — starting 24 hours after surgery.
Important: Never exceed the maximum daily dose of Paracetamol (4,000 mg per day for adults). Do not combine multiple medications containing Paracetamol without medical advice.

What is the total time from first contact to final smile?
A typical full journey looks like this:
- Week 0: Free virtual consultation + written treatment plan
- Weeks 1–4: Booking, flights, and travel logistics
- Visit 1: Surgery + temporary prosthesis (7–10 days in Egypt)
- Months 1–6: Healing at home + remote follow-ups
- Visit 2: Final prosthesis fitting (5–7 days in Egypt)
Total: 5–7 months from first contact to final result. Only 12–17 days of that is spent in Egypt.
Can I complete everything in one visit?
For crowns and veneers only: Yes. Signature Zirconia Smile can be completed in a single 7–8 day visit because there are no implants — just precision crowns on existing teeth.
For implants: No — and this is true worldwide. Dental implants require a biological healing phase (osseointegration) of 3–6 months before the final prosthesis can be placed. No ethical dentist — in Egypt, the US, or anywhere — will place a permanent implant-supported prosthesis on the same day as surgery.
If a clinic offers "implants in one visit," ask exactly what they mean. Some use same-day temporary bridges, which is legitimate — but the final permanent restoration still requires a second visit after healing.
What happens if I need a second visit?
If your treatment requires two visits, here is what happens:
- You return home after the first visit with a fixed temporary prosthesis and a complete aftercare protocol.
- Remote follow-ups continue via WhatsApp and telehealth at 1 week, 1 month, and 3 months.
- Your second visit is scheduled in advance — typically 4–6 months after the first — and confirmed in writing in your original treatment plan.
- Pricing for the second visit is included in your original quote. You do not pay twice for the same treatment.
- Travel add-on costs apply per visit — meaning if you choose an add-on package, it applies to each trip separately. We give you a bundled estimate at the start.
Important: The second visit is not optional — it is required to place the final permanent prosthesis after healing. Final results cannot be achieved in a single visit for implant cases.
